Refunds and Cancellation

Short version: if Ropenode is not right for you, email support@ropenode.com within 14 days of paying and we will refund you. You do not have to explain why. The rest of this page is the detail, including the statutory right that sits underneath our promise.

1. The 14-day right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have a legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the day the contract was made, without giving a reason.

Digital content bought online can normally lose this right — but only if you were asked to expressly consent to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that consenting loses you the right. We do not ask for that. Your 14-day right therefore survives in full, even though you can download and use Ropenode straight away.

We refund within 14 days of being told, using the same payment method you used, at no cost to you.

2. How to withdraw

Email support@ropenode.com with a clear statement that you are withdrawing. Your name and the email address on the order are enough. You may use this wording:

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the purchase of Ropenode. Ordered on: [date]. Name: [your name]. Email on the order: [your email].

Sending it before the 14 days are up is enough — it does not have to be dealt with by then.

3. Our own promise, on top of the law

The statutory right covers consumers. Our refund promise covers everyone, including businesses, and we would rather refund you than keep money from someone the product did not help. If something went wrong after the 14 days — it did not work on your machine, it was not what you understood you were buying — email us anyway and say so.

4. Cancelling a subscription

Cancelling and refunding are different things.

Cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not end the period you have already paid for, and it does not refund it. Your paid features keep working until that period ends.

We do not automatically refund a renewal you forgot to cancel. If a renewal took you by surprise and you have not used the new period, email support@ropenode.com — in practice we refund it.

5. What happens to your work when a licence ends

Nothing happens to your work. Ropenode does not delete, hide or archive any project, file, repository or history when a licence lapses or is refunded. Projects beyond the free tier's limit stay visible, readable and committable; they simply will not start a new agent run.

A refunded licence key stops working. Because licences are verified offline, a machine kept deliberately offline can continue to work for up to 72 hours after that.

6. What we cannot refund

Money you paid to Anthropic or OpenAI. Ropenode requires the Claude Code or Codex CLI, and your own account with that provider (sold separately). That is a separate contract, with a separate company, on their terms — we never receive any of it and cannot refund it. Check their billing pages for their policies.

7. If we cannot agree

Email support@ropenode.com first. A consumer in Lithuania who is not satisfied may also apply to the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (Valstybinė vartotojų teisių apsaugos tarnyba). Nothing on this page removes or reduces your statutory rights.
