End User Licence Agreement
Effective on the date you install or use Ropenode. This agreement is between you and Rytis Pleckauskas (Lithuania), who publishes Ropenode.
1. Licence granted
Ropenode is licensed, not sold. Subject to this agreement you may install and use it on the number of devices your tier permits, for your own commercial or personal work, including work you perform for your clients.
2. What you may not do
You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense or rent Ropenode; remove or circumvent its licence checks; or share a licence key or account outside the devices your tier permits. You may decompile or reverse engineer it only to the extent that law expressly permits despite this clause.
3. Your model provider account
Ropenode requires the Claude Code or Codex CLI, and your own account with that provider (sold separately). Ropenode launches the official claude or codex binary, which authenticates itself.
Ropenode never reads, stores or transmits your Anthropic or OpenAI credentials, and never calls
either provider's API on your behalf. Your use of those tools is governed by your agreement with
that provider, not by this one. We take no margin on, and have no control over, your model
usage or its cost.
4. Tiers, licences and devices
A paid licence permits activation on a limited number of devices. Licences are verified offline against a signed licence file, so the application works without a network; it re-confirms periodically when it can. A licence file remains valid for up to 72 hours without contact, which is also the longest a withdrawn licence can continue to work on a machine kept deliberately offline. A lifetime licence does not expire, but must be able to re-confirm itself at least once every 400 days.
5. Payment, renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your paid features working until the end of the period you have already paid for — cancellation is not revocation. If a payment fails we continue to serve your licence for a grace period of 14 days while the payment is retried. No VAT is added to our prices: the price shown is the price you pay.
6. Refunds
If Ropenode does not work for you, contact support@ropenode.com within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it. Where you are a consumer in the EU or UK, this is in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory right of withdrawal.
7. What happens if your licence ends
Paid features stop; your work does not. Ropenode does not delete, hide or archive any project, file, repository or history when a licence lapses. Projects beyond the free tier's limit remain fully visible, readable and committable — they simply will not start a new agent run.
8. Scope of the edit policy — read this one
Ropenode's edit policy applies to Claude Code sessions, where the agent's tool calls pass through an approval channel the application answers. It does not apply to Codex sessions, which run in a direct terminal into a third-party tool and are governed by that tool's own approval model. The application labels this in its interface.
Do not treat the edit policy as a security boundary against a hostile agent. It is a safety rail against an unattended one. You remain responsible for reviewing every change before it ships.
9. Updates
Ropenode can check for and install its own updates. Updates are cryptographically signed and are verified before installation. We may change or discontinue features between versions; we will not move a feature you already have from a free tier into a paid one.
10. No warranty
Ropenode drives an AI coding agent that modifies files on your computer. It is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost work, damaged or deleted repositories, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability under this agreement is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death, personal injury, or fraud, and nothing here limits the statutory rights of a consumer.
12. Termination
You may stop using Ropenode at any time. We may terminate this licence if you materially breach it — for example by circumventing the licence checks or redistributing the software — and we will tell you why.
13. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence.
14. Changes to this agreement
We may update this agreement for future versions. The version you accepted continues to apply to the version of Ropenode you are running.
