The Mail inbox

✉ Mail is an IMAP inbox beside your work, so a client's email does not mean leaving the window. It is a Pro feature. Connect it in Settings → Mail; the password is encrypted at rest like every other secret.

Filters

Only and Ignore patterns decide which messages the inbox shows — only mail from your clients' domains, say, or nothing from a noisy notification sender. They apply to the whole inbox.

Reading safely

• Messages render in a sandbox, and remote images are blocked until you choose Show images for one message, or trust that sender's host for good.
• Links open in your real browser.
• Browsing the list marks nothing as read. Opening a message does, and you can mark it read or unread again, or move it to Trash.
• The top-bar button shows how many messages are unread.

It never sends

There is no SMTP anywhere in Ropenode. It cannot send, reply to or forward a message.
