WSL projects
WSL sudo
If git in your distro needs sudo, you can store a sudo password per project, in the
project's WSL settings. It is sealed with AES-256-GCM and never sent to the UI.
Use the Test button — it runs a real sudo -S and tells you whether the password was
accepted or rejected, rather than failing mysteriously later.
If the agent behaves oddly in WSL
- It cannot see your MCP servers. It is probably running as the wrong user. Set the WSL user on the project explicitly.
- New files are owned by root. Same cause, same fix.
- Paths look wrong. Check the project was opened via its
\\wsl$path, not a copy on the Windows filesystem. - The Log stays empty. Node.js is missing inside the distro.
